高穩(wěn)定性光纖激光器恒流驅(qū)動系統(tǒng)設(shè)計與實現(xiàn)

摘要: 光纖激光器波長和輸出功率的穩(wěn)定性易受泵浦源驅(qū)動電流波動的影響,,為應(yīng)對該問題,設(shè)計了一款高精度,、高穩(wěn)定性恒流驅(qū)動系統(tǒng)。恒流源部分采用閉環(huán)負(fù)反饋原理,,通過金屬氧化物半導(dǎo)體場效應(yīng)晶體管(MOSFET)來控制恒流輸出,,實現(xiàn)了對半導(dǎo)體激光器(LD)驅(qū)動電流的精準(zhǔn)控制;限流保護電路利用二極管的限幅作用使LD免受過電流沖擊的影響,,電流緩慢啟動采用軟件控制的方法確保LD免受浪涌電流損害,;光功率探測電路采用ADA4530芯片,確保在極低光照水平下也可精準(zhǔn)探測到功率輸出,。實驗結(jié)果表明,,該電路可實現(xiàn)驅(qū)動電流在0~1.2 A連續(xù)可調(diào),電流短期(120 min)和長期(24 h)穩(wěn)定性分別為±0.001 mA和±0.002 mA,;激光器中心波長波動不超過±0.03 nm,,輸出功率的穩(wěn)定度不超過0.084 3%,精度小于±0.15 mW,。

Design and implementation of a constant current driving circuit for high stability fiber optic device

Abstract: The stability of the wavelength and output power of the fiber laser is susceptible to fluctuations in the pump drive current, and a high-precision, high-stability constant-current drive system has been designed to cope with this problem. The constant current source part adopts the closed-loop negative feedback principle to control the consistent current output through the Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor (MOSFET), realizing the precise control of the semiconductor laser (LD) drive current. The current-limiting protection circuit protects the LD from overcurrent shocks by utilizing the diode's limiting effect, and the current slow start uses a software-controlled method to protect LD from inrush current damage. The ADA4530 chip is used in the optical power detection circuit to ensure accurate detection of power output even at deficient light levels. The experimental results show that the circuit can achieve continuous adjustment of the drive current from 0 A to 1.2 A, with short-term (120 min) and long-term (24 h) current stability of 0.001 mA and 0.002 mA, respectively. The wavelength fluctuation of the laser center does not exceed 0.03 nm, and the stability of the output power does not exceed 0.084 3%, with an accuracy of less than ±0.15 mW.

引言

半導(dǎo)體激光器又稱半導(dǎo)體激光二極管(Laser Diode,,LD),具有結(jié)構(gòu)緊湊,、重量輕,、效率高、波長易于調(diào)制等優(yōu)點,,已被廣泛應(yīng)用于科研,、工業(yè)、軍事,、醫(yī)療等[1-3]領(lǐng)域,,作為光纖激光器的主要泵浦源,其性能的穩(wěn)定性直接影響激光器的輸出性能[4],。LD是以半導(dǎo)體材料為工作物質(zhì)而產(chǎn)生受激輻射的激光器件,,工作時通常采用注入電流的方式進行激勵,注入電流的微弱變化對LD的影響非常大,,甚至?xí)p壞激光器,,還會造成激光器輸出波長的漂移(漂移系數(shù)達0.2 nm/mA)和輸出功率的變化[5]。

目前,,國外對激光器驅(qū)動系統(tǒng)的研究已經(jīng)達到較高水平,,很多方面都領(lǐng)先于國內(nèi),如電流控制精度與調(diào)節(jié)范圍,、功率穩(wěn)定性等,。國外Wavelength公司MPL激光器恒流源可輸出0~2.5 A可調(diào)電流,短期(1 h)和長期(24 h)穩(wěn)定度分別為0.03 mA和0.075 mA[6],;Thorlabs公司LDC202激光器恒流源長期(24 h)穩(wěn)定性小于0.003 mA[7],;ILX Lightwave公司LDX激光器恒流源電流精度達0.01 mA,,電流穩(wěn)定性小于0.002%[8]。國內(nèi)研究人員田亞玲等[9-10]設(shè)計實現(xiàn)輸出電流精度為0.01 mA,,長期穩(wěn)定度達0.004%的恒流源,;邢素霞等[11]設(shè)計實現(xiàn)驅(qū)動電流0~300 mA連續(xù)可調(diào)且誤差保持在±0.003 mA內(nèi)。與國外相比,,國內(nèi)高校和廠商研發(fā)的恒流驅(qū)動系統(tǒng)雖然在精度和穩(wěn)定性可以達到使用要求,,但在電流調(diào)節(jié)范圍、長期工作以及光功率輸出穩(wěn)定性方面存在一定差距,。為確保光纖激光器輸出性能的穩(wěn)定性,,設(shè)計一種高精度、高穩(wěn)定性,、寬調(diào)節(jié)范圍和易集成的恒流驅(qū)動系統(tǒng)是有必要的,。
