Intelligent garbage classification system based on Arduino and speech recognition

Abstract: Under the background that many provinces and cities in China, such as Shanghai and Beijing, have launched waste classification management methods and requirements. In order to help residents to classify garbage better, an intelligent garbage classification system based on Arduino and speech recognition is proposed. The system is composed of Android mobile APP, HC-05 Bluetooth module and lower computer control module. Android mobile APP receives voice input, recognizes and classifies it, then sends the classification result to Arduino development board through HC-05 Bluetooth module. The Arduino development board controls the action of the corresponding steering gear according to the classification results, so as to drive the lid of the corresponding classified garbage can open and realize garbage classification. The experimental results show that the system has high recognition accuracy and practical value.
